Martingale for Roulette?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tried playing online Roulette using the martingale system and what the results were?
I've been playing for a couple of weeks in demo mode and have only gone bust (i.e. reached the table limit) once. Every other time I have made consistent gains of $200 plus.
I was also wondering about all the stuff I've been reading on the net about how they let you win more often in demo mode.. Do you guys think this is true? Can the software be rigged to do this?
If the software could be rigged to let you win in Demo mode, couldn't it also be rigged to let you lose in real mode? Is there anyone (official organization, etc.) who controls this?
Cheers!

QUOTING=El Pro;19121 (In blue): Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tried playing online Roulette using the martingale system and what the results were?
Yes - it was successful, but only because I carried on betting after the pre-set stopping point (Micro-rolling).
For me Roulette is too much of an emotional roller-coaster, and martingaling involves too much risk for a very small gain. I will return to Roulette if the day ever comes when there aren't loads of better & easier ways to make money online.
I've been playing for a couple of weeks in demo mode and have only gone bust (i.e. reached the table limit) once. Every other time I have made consistent gains of $200 plus.
Well done!
I was also wondering about all the stuff I've been reading on the net about how they let you win more often in demo mode.. Do you guys think this is true?
No.
Can the software be rigged to do this?
Yes.
If the software could be rigged to let you win in Demo mode, couldn't it also be rigged to let you lose in real mode?
Yes.
Is there anyone (official organisation, etc.) who controls this?
Some casinos (mostly Microgaming ones) are 'controlled' by eCogra, others have independent audits done. However, the people who think casinos are rigged also think these agencies are bent!
At the end of the day it's down to personal judgement. I've been profiting from casinos for over 7-years (mostly slots play), so naturally I think they are honest.
Which software are you playing on?
Cheers!
Welcome to the forum!

As above, that sums it up pretty perfectly.
All i would say is you really should use a bonus each time if you intend to do that, a lot dont allow it to count to the wagering though, but some do at low % or others allow you to withdraw your winnings at any time anyway. A lot of microgaming casinos are like this. Well some are, and the initial bonus chips will give you more leverage. If you want a hand at all with this just say and I can explain more.
Long term though Roulette is a -ve EV game and you will lose money. There are strategies that may make you last longer, but sooner or later you really will lose, nothing will stop that. Only use of a bonus will give you the chance to make long term profits.

"If" you were going to try a Roulette strategy (and im not saying this is a good idea but if you were anyway) then you definitely want to do it at either:
CasinoRiva where you get a 200% bonus on your first deposit. You will never be able to withdraw the bonus chips from playing Roulette but you can take out your deposit and winnings at any time so it gives you leverage.
If you deposit 50 normally you would bust out after 1,2,4,8,16, (all remaining balance)
So 6 double up Martingale tries at most.
If you deposit 50 and have 150 to play with you get 1,2,4,8,16,32,64, (all of remaining balance)
So you get up to 8 goes to hit a win, thus two more "lives".
OR do exactly what you would have with your £50 at Riva where betting £1 but do it with 3x the stake, If you would have won £20 normally with no bonus, you will now have won £60 doing the same thing.
OR another one is ITVcasino where you can actually cash in the bonus but it is only 100%. Still deposit £50 and you will have £100 to play with. As above this is still good as it gets you an extra "life" or more leverage. ALSO after wagering £1200 in total, you can withdraw your whole balance including the extra £50 they gave you.
I could go on, there are loads and loads of different casinos with different offers and different best strategies, (some/most which dont allow Roulette at all). Ladbrokes every weekend do a 50% Euro Roulette bonus but do the sign up with War first, etc etc etc. Overall conclusion = Always play with at least some form of bonus and you will at least lose less and last longer than you would have anyway :-)
If you want any more casinos/strategies or more explanation on that just ask.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your answers!
As I said, I've only played in Demo mode up to now. And I haven't ever downloaded the casino software - I just used the online flash versions from various different casinos.
I have been getting great results though, wich make me want to try the real deal, but still am a little scared of blowing it. It's easy when playing demo becaus ther is nothing to lose, and I do realize that the martingale system is a lot of risk for low gains at a time, but I seem to get consistent gains (hence the questions about the software being rigged).
Beside this, I've also read a lot of posts online from people saying they were ripped off by this or that casino i.e. they won and the casino never payed up. Ever happened to you guys?
CASINO KING - care to share any of the (as you say) "easier ways of making money.." ? That would be quite nice... ;-)

Being ripped off = Yes I have, and it does happen and it hurts, but it is few and far between. It isnt something to worry about if you play somewhere that you have checked out and comes recommended by others. (be carefull here, dont be a mug and play at a ridiculous place becasue an affiliate of theirs told you to).
Having said the above i am now going to 100% contradict myself and tell you thatif you play at any Casino listed here and it will not happen:
The Gambling Times - Online Casino Reviews - Viewing all casinos
Any Casino over 8* if it did happen WE would pay you the £s up to £500 though anyway. Thats just true, i know i said dont listen to affiliates, but we didnt go and make that site and write reviews of that list to rip people off, if we had the site wouldnt last long, over 3+ years we have never had any complaints of that. Stick to that list and on the "will i get paid" front you are absolutely safe, garunteed.
If you were going to use that Roulette strategy, do it at CasinoRiva or ITVcasino as I explained above, Martingale is a crazy way to expect to make money long term, you wont, thats just a fact, you wont, play mode real mode or any other mode, you wont. No Roulette system will, ever. I promise. Playing at those casinos and because of those bonuses you will have a fighting chance of profiting from that first deposit and session, but its because of the bonus, not the strategy.
RE easier ways to make money, there are lots, kasinokings website has lots of slots guides but thats not my way to play. I play differently to that, and others play differently to the two of us. As I said earlier somewhere else there is no absolute right and wrong just so long as you are making £s and enjoying it, you are doing fine. There are lots of threads about on how to play at each casino to maximise you chances. They are all different though, no two casinos are the same so it is not a case of someone saying "you do ABC" and then thats it your rich, but if you put in some time reading up on what other people have done and why and invest some £s to it, you can make quite a bit of £s.
For a recent thread check out this one:
ladbrokes casino, easy bonus to clear, dont miss out
It should make you £50 as a bad result and i think £80 has been about the average.

I think Andy has answered your "money making" question perfectly!
His way is basically very quick all or nothing, mine is the loooong slow grind.
Both are successful for the controlled gambler.
Most of the stories you see from people being "ripped off" are usually one of the following:-
1) The bad loser - just pissed that he had an unlucky run.
2) The bonus abuser - tried to bend the casino's rules & got caught.
3) The blind man - didn't read all the T&C's before depositing.
4) The rogue rider - played at some well dodgy cowboy site.
I can honestly say that in 7-years and about 150 different casinos joined I have only been ripped off once. *
I have never had a withdrawal refused due to 'bonus abuse' (although I have been banned from future bonuses a few times), and I have always been paid - even from rogue sites I played in my early naive days.
* There was one casino in 2003 (which has gone now) with it's own well dodgy software - 100% rigged.
Stick to Andy's list (or mine) and you should have no problems.
